Hey Stacey,

Praying that you and your family are doing well and preparing for a wonderful Christmas Holiday.

We last talked about 9 months ago, and I have to say, I am feeling better than I have in 17 years!

Recovery took longer than I expected, but looking back, it was all worth it. I can stand here today, free of debilitating Panic Attacks and Anxiety. A place I never thought I would see again in my life.

On top of that, my Depression is gone. I can’t remember the last time I was in a low mood. Maybe a year ago, but nothing like it was in the past.

Even better, I have been able to get through the pandemic. And while the things going on in this world would have been a cause of severe anxiety in the past, I have been able to get through with a normal response.

It wasn’t long ago that working from home, let alone going into an office, resulted in panic, anxiety, and a complete mental shutdown to the point of not wanting to be in meetings for fear that I would pass out, zone out, or a host of other worries.

This year, I was promoted, am leading a team again, and going into the office. I have participated in large group activities and do not have the same claustrophobia in large gatherings as I had even a year ago.

I want to thank Anxiety Centre, and especially you, for helping me understand what the root is behind Anxiety, Panic Attacks, and Depression. Recovery was made possible with the strategies, articles, Skype sessions, and one-on-one sessions with you.

So many others before me claimed their complete recovery and success. But I thought I had the worst kind of anxiety (whatever that means) and that they were not as bad as me. But I stand here today, knowing that if I can recover, anyone can.

I love going into large stores again and not having the feeling that I need to run out as fast as I can. I love driving long distances again. I love excelling at work. I love being a husband to my wife, a father to my kids, and grandpa to my granddaughter. I love having my life back.

Thank you, first and foremost, for guiding me through recovery. I truly could not have done this without you.

I pray that you and your family are thriving. And one day, I will have to jump on for a session to say “Hi”. I do miss our talks!

With thanks and a tremendous amount of gratitude,

The combination of good self-help information and working with an experienced anxiety disorder therapist, coach, or counselor is the most effective way to address anxiety and its many symptoms. Until the core causes of anxiety are addressed – which we call the underlying factors of anxiety – a struggle with anxiety unwellness can return again and again. Dealing with the underlying factors of anxiety is the best way to address problematic anxiety.
