Amanda's Biography

Amanda Diehl is passionate about helping individuals overcome the symptoms of anxiety and move forward to achieve their goals in life. Amanda has personally experienced the weight of anxiety and stress in her own life. In childhood, Amanda experienced multiple near-death experiences and the death of loved ones. Amanda is also a cancer survivor and has experienced numerous traumatic health issues. She understands what it’s like to have a body that is hijacked by stress hormones!

While Amanda tried various strategies to cope with stress and anxiety, it was not until she sought support that she was able to recover and, ultimately, find the healing and empowerment to shape her life into something she truly loves living.

Through Amanda’s own personal and professional journey she has developed the ability to be truly empathetic to those dealing with anxiety and has the professional tools to facilitate their journey towards change. Amanda takes a holistic ‘whole-picture’ approach to helping her clients, providing insight and support for physical, emotional, and spiritual health for those desiring this approach.

Amanda has experience working with clients in various environments including those experiencing homelessness, severe stress levels, addiction, physical and mental health concerns, trauma, family and parenting issues, experiences of family violence, abuse, clergy care, and ministry burnout. Amanda has a wealth of experience providing support to clients when some were at the most desperate times of their lives.

With over 17 years helping individuals overcome anxiety and stress symptoms as a professional certified counsellor, Amanda now offers coaching services to clients seeking to move from where they are to where they want to be. Amanda is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) as well as a Certified Biblical Counsellor (ABC)*. As a coach, Amanda takes a relationship-based and holistic approach to helping her clients get “unstuck” and move forward in life. As a Certified Biblical Counsellor, and for clients seeking a distinctively Christian approach, Amanda helps clients apply the truth of the Gospel in Scripture to their lives as they overcome hurts, current struggles, and unhealthy patterns. Amanda truly loves the work she gets to do. She considers it a profound privilege to walk alongside her clients, coaching them toward health, wholeness, and that next step forward.

*As a Board Certified Coach, Amanda Diehl does not assess or diagnose mental health issues.

The combination of good self-help information and working with an experienced anxiety disorder therapist, coach, or counselor is the most effective way to address anxiety and its many symptoms. Until the core causes of anxiety are addressed – which we call the underlying factors of anxiety – a struggle with anxiety unwellness can return again and again. Dealing with the underlying factors of anxiety is the best way to address problematic anxiety.
