How long does it usually take to get connected with one of your recommended therapists when they are all booked up?

Our recommended therapists have been busy these last four years. And many times, they are booked up and carry waiting lists. We are working to remedy that by actively looking for more qualified and experienced therapists to join our team. However, because the qualifications we seek are specific, those therapists are hard to find.

In the meantime, we recommend putting your name on a specific therapist’s waiting list or selecting the “First Available Opening With Anyone” option. Either of those choices will get you connected sooner than later, as therapists open for new clients frequently.

Regarding how long it could take to get connected, it could be a few days or weeks, depending on how busy they are at the time. The time of year can also make a difference.

For instance, our recommended therapists typically get booked up a few weeks into the New Year, as that is one of the busiest times of the year. As we approach late spring and summer, therapists tend to have more availability as people spend more time outside.

If you want to connect with one of our recommended therapists, the best times to do that are late spring, summer, and early fall before appointments pick up again toward the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year seasons.

But as mentioned, our recommended therapists frequently have openings. Getting your appointment request in sooner than later, no matter the time of year means you’ll get connected at the first opportunity.

Also, be sure to check your spam and junk folders for therapist emails. We’ve had people waiting many weeks for an appointment because the follow-up email got trapped in those folders. And if the therapist doesn’t get a response, they move on to the next person on the waiting list, as appointments are given on a “first-come-first-serve” basis. We’d hate to see you miss an opening because your email program routed the therapist’s email to the wrong location.

For more information about therapist availabilities, watch our website’s public home page. From there, you can make an appointment using our online “Make An Appointment” form. The links are in the comments and video transcription.
