The Midtown Writers' Circle meets weekly in center city Philadelphia to share manuscripts, critique, and discussion. Typically, we alternate between Tuesday and Wednesday evenings when we gather at a friendly restaurant to enjoy dinner as we meet. Meetings start at 6:00 PM and last two to four hours. Our meetings are very relaxed and informal, so people are welcome to arrive late or leave early as desired. Writers both amateur and professional are welcome. There are no requirements, dues, or expectations beyond an interest in writing fiction.

|Our humble writers' circle began holding meetings on April 19, 2011, and was started within the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society. PSFS, itself, was established in October 1935 and is the world's second oldest organization devoted to science fiction fandom. The members of PSFS include a number of bibliophiles, writers, and editors. Monthly meetings are open to the public and frequently feature writers and editors as guest speakers. A book discussion group holds monthly meetings to talk about works new and old. Writers and a writers' workshop are also prominently featured at the annual PSFS convention known as Philcon.|
